Presentation of Cannock Chase Youth Endeavour Award

Last Wednesday afternoon (23rd May) saw Hednesford Town FC Supporters Association Joint-Chairman Scott Smith along with Committee Member Jas Singh and Youth Team Captain Brad Grice invited to the Civic Centre, the home of Cannock Chase District Council, to present the 2012 Cannock Chase Youth Endeavour Award.

As the Supporters Association continues to engage with the local community we were delighted to be able to represent the football club on this important occasion.

Each year Cannock Chase Council recognises the achievement of young people within the Cannock Chase District by awarding the Youth Endeavour Award.  This award provides local communities with the opportunity to recognise and reward some of the positive achievements and contributions that are made by Young People.

The Winner of the 2012 Cannock Chase Youth Endeavour Award was Miss Nikki Cole of Hednesford. Nikki raised an amazing £3,887.00 for Help the Hero’s Charity. Nikki’s cousin was seriously injured whilst serving in the British Army in Afghanistan.

Nikki organised a sponsored head shave and leg wax at her School which a number of pupils attended and took part in. Nikki also organised a fancy dress party and a dress down day at School all of which helped raise this incredible amount of money.

As well as receiving a cheque for £50.00 together with a Rosebowl Trophy Nikki was also presented with a Hednesford Town FC scarf by Scott, Jas and Brad to recognise her achievement.
