Supporters Association provide new baby-changing facility

Changing a baby’s nappy has become a whole lot easier thanks to a new facility paid for by the Hednesford Town Football Club Supporters Association (HTFCSA).

Hednesford Town’s development as a family-friendly football club has meant the increased use of the Club’s Function Rooms for outside events like weddings, christenings and parties. Such a facility will now make life easier for many people, not just women either.

The first user was Sofia, the daughter of our very own stalwart defender Francino Francis, who did the honours himself!

“It’s a great new facility we can offer for supporters’ and visitors’ families alike”, commented Paula Smith, who was the brains behind the idea.

The facility is to be found in the ladies’ toilet on the first floor near to the Club’s Main Office.

HTFCSA Chairman Scott Smith said, “We had noted the HTFCSA funds were starting to build-up and after being approached by Paula with this idea members voted thoroughly in favour of the baby changing unit being paid for by the HTFCSA.”

The toilet has been comfortably refurbished with baby accessories including the Magrini pull-down baby table supplied by Swift Hygiene from Lower Keys Park Business Park. Owner Andy’s father-in-law even installed it, reflecting the number of families who involve themselves with the club.

HTFCSA always welcome new members and helpers. If you would like to become involved, please contact Mick Johnson at the club.
