HTFCSA help create Christmas cheer

The last weekend was a busy one for the Hednesford Town Football Club Supporters Association with us involved in no less than three events.

Firstly, last Friday, 1st December, saw us once again having a stall in town for the Hednesford Christmas Lights Switch On. Thanks must go to Paula Smith, Mandy Pratt, Lesley Wilkes, Carol Johnson, Christine Westbury, Ian Pitt, James Webb, Alice Webb and Sue Rigby for giving up their time both beforehand and during the evening to make it a real success.

Our little stall of Christmas trinkets, Pitmen related items and games helped make a healthy profit. It was great to see Hednesford so busy on Friday evening and a well done should go to HTFCSA Committee Member Paul Woodhead for his continued work in the community.

Another event which Paula and Mandy made sure that we got involved in last weekend was the St Peter’s Church Christmas Tree Festival at which we are delighted to announce that the HTFCSA tree gained a fantastic joint third position – a great result when there were 20 trees in total from various different groups around the area.

Finally at the start of the week we once again saw a great turnout for our now annual Christmas Carol Concert at Keys Park. Well done to Steve Williams, Paula and Paul along with the Revd Paul Kelly, our Chaplain, for all their hard work in making that happen.

During our events in Hednesford and at Keys Park we were running a number of games and here are the results and winners, who will be contacted, of them:

Money in the Jar – £36.20 – Winner – Ian

Number of sweets in the Jar – 196 – Winner – Barry Andrews

Name of the Elf on the Shelf – Anthony – Winner – Anthony

Thanks must go to Natasha’s in Chadsmoor for their gift of the Elf and to everyone who took part and helped us raise funds to go towards HTFCSA projects.
