Formed in December 2010, Hednesford Town Football Club Supporters Association (HTFCSA) has become a key part of Hednesford Town Football Club’s resurgence in the local community and non-league scene.
History of the Association
Hednesford Town Football Club Supporters Association (HTFCSA) was formed in 2010 with the sole aim of driving value for the supporters of the Club, whilst helping the Club move from a decade of decline in to a period of sustained growth.
During our first year of operation we have introduced a number of initiatives (HTFCSA TV & new media) that has substantially improved the supporters experience and helped grow the supporter base around 25%. Alongside this we have been actively involved in the local community, opening a local Asda and supporting Cannock Carnival in July 2011.
As part of our on-going fundraising efforts for the Club, we ran a hugely successful Race Night in July 2011 that raised funds for the installation of the new club shop at Keys Park. During 2012 we have a number of events planned to continue to grow our funds and provide a strong financial boost to the club.
Our efforts during the second half of the 2010-2011 season led to us being awarded the Reg Stokes Memorial Shield at the end of season awards event.
Moving in to the 2011/2012 season the momentum was maintained, with the Pitmen’s average attendances increasing once more, in line with the hard work our members have been undertaking in the local community.
A number of key events were held in 2012 that have continued to raise the profile of HTFCSA. In February 2012, HTFCSA re-united the legends of the 1996/1997 season in front of a packed Chase Room, hosted by BBC Shropshire’s Tim Beech.
As the Supporters Association begins a third season in existence, big steps have been taken to improve the membership pack and benefits, with the aim of growing membership further. Members of the Supporters Association have been key in driving the club forward over the past few years, and we are keen to keep this momentum going as we progress forward.
The objects of the Association shall be:
(a) To represent the interests of HTFC supporters, who are members of the Association.
