The NPL, in their wisdom, seem to have dispensed with local derbies on Boxing Day/New Year's Day/Easter Monday....

My initial reaction to the fixtures is absolute garbage.
I ask you away at Farsely on Bank holiday Monday.
Desperate.
It looks to me has if we have taken over Shaw lanes fixtures without adjustments for our geographical location, another fine mess you've got us into Ollie.

That's a very astute assessment Jackie. I make you right!

On our own official fixture list it has us at home on Saturday 22nd April it should read Monday 22nd April.

These league officials are a waste of space and have no idea. This could be disastrous for us with the lack of away teams supporters revenue.Apart from the Strangers I can't see us getting an attendance of 500.(cup games excepted.)
I'm certain that we will be missed in the Southern league as we always took away a good away following particularly locally.
The sooner we are not governed by these NPL league officials the better.

Absolute nightmare. Ferriby away on Boxing Day!
As Jackie says, they've just given us Shaw Lane 's fixtures.
The fixture planners in the NPL are useless, Buxton asked for their first four games to be away as their plastic pitch won't be ready in time so they've given them two home games.

... And there it is, the final kick in the goolies this summer, courtesy of the NPL. Thanks, gents. I would suggest an amount of tweaking has taken place, as a lot of our early season midweek games appear to be closer to Hednesford (Nantwich, Mickleover, Stafford) than they would have been to S*** L***. Otherwise, what an absolute dog's dinner. Again. Did they honestly think no-one would notice?

I have emailed the NPL to ask for an explanation as to why our "holiday" matches are North Ferriby (twice) and Farsley (twice) and will post the reply on here.

I think that's been corrected now Jackie, along with a couple of spolling errers which I spotted.

Please tell me why we haven’t resigned from this league? We will go down anyway this season so let’s drop a couple of steps and work our way back up on our own terms and stick two fingers up to the crooks who run this league.

Nah, let's wait until March then (if you're right) drop out of it and leave them to sort out the resultant mess (as, as an aside, speedway are having to do after Rye House quit part way through the season, as I was discussing with our resident speedway expert Lee t'other day)

However Jackie's tipping us to win the league so we needn't worry

:)

I'm lead to believe that a lot of sides had already 'paired up' in terms of bank holidays and Christmas before all the issues occurred regarding Shaw Lane. By the then we were too late to the party and simply had to settle for the available fixtures remaining - more than likely similar to what Shaw Lane may have ended up with had they remained in the league.

Hopefully should only be a one season issue I would imagine.

Well, I thought that it was the final kick in the goolies, but yet again I'm way out... we are 'Hednesford United' once more according to our NPL overlords.

http://www.evostikleague.co.uk/the-2018 ... now-51790/

Staggeringly unprofessional league.

Ladies and Gentlemen and Mac we have to settle for what we have been given and make the most of it.
All the moaning in the world and believe you me I've muttered many unutterable phrases in private isn't going to make an ayputh of difference .
We are were we are and let's face it there's nothing in this league to be afraid of it's a lot weaker than the central division so has Glynn has said we can go on and win the damn thing.
Particularly has we have some exciting signings to announce. :scarf:

A couple of ill- informed work colleagues reckon the level that we play at is 'tin-pot'. After this shambles I'm fast coming round to their way of thinking.
If you want to destroy grassroots football then the FA and NPL have developed the blueprint.
Well done guys!

A number of fixtures already postponed due to FA Cup and FA Trophy involvement. Why schedule them for those dates in the first place?

Myself and Dave Hunter vented our our displeasure on the NPL Group forum, obviously we both got some abuse from the numpties ( is that a word) but a fair few other posts across the league bemoaning the total lack of any thought or planning in the fixtures.
I've decided I've had enough and I'm off to support Hednesford United, it's the future. !!!

Fascinating. So it's ATOS' fault, not the NPL's.
