He had a great offer from a club higher up, took 4 players but it hasn't worked out for him. Maybe he should have stayed and gathered experience but I can't see many people turning that offer down. I don't really hold it against him.

Steve Price sacked a manager recently when a formerly successful boss became available. Surely not again?!

I'm suffering player and manager memory fatigue after all the changes but didn't Rob & Larry also take some players immediately when they went to Telford, also having pledged their loyalty to us a few days previously?

You're right about Rob & Larry, and I was a happy man when they were sacked by Telford again. I was also over the moon when we reappointed them because they are the best men for the job. I'm just as happy today about McDonald's sacking as I was about Rob & Larry's sacking at Telford.

The trouble will be if Liam takes over a club in this league such as Stafford, rushall etc and bring a fair bit of quality down the leagues to join him. The old adage of "being careful what you wish for!".

That is a fair comment - he is a good manager at this level.

Maybe we could find a use for Maye, carline, Flanagen etc???

Carline will go wherever McDonald ends up (Sutton Rushall, Halesowen?).
Flanagan hasn't featured all season for Solihoof, presume he's injured?
Sammons made a few sub appearances at the start of the season and since then has disappeared.
Maye has been injured but back in the starting 11 now, scored last night.

Darren Carter was the scorer last night according to a couple of sources I've seen.

Originally FlashScores had Maye down as the scorer but have now changed it to Carter so likes like that's right.

I'd say that there would be a good chance that we will see him at Rushall, Sutton or Halesowen in the not so distant future.

L**m McD*n*ld's departure from Solihull Moors yesterday means that all five current occupants of the National League's bottom five ~ Torquay, Solihull, Guiseley, Chester and Barrow ~ have already changed their manager since the start of the season.

Not an easy life at the bottom!

My money is on he's in the Rushall dugout with his 2 assistants next week. Might put a few more on the gate!

Yes Richard money is the man in the hot seat. I’ve heard a few things about clubs at step 2 approaching. He’s a good young manager and I’m sure he’ll be back. I liked him. Injuries have really hurt us this season. The last thing you’d want is him at Stafford Rangers. If you don’t do well he may be back hahaha actually that will never happen. Good luck for the rest of the season.

As usual he says all the right things. I'll give it until the end of the season when he will move on to a local Conf North club in the close season.

I'll think he'll do a good job there and he will take his loyal sheep with him too, complete with step one experience. Watch them climb the table....

QUOTE: McDonald will have a watching brief at Tuesday’s Integro League Cup clash at Hednesford Town as John Allen and Trevor Burroughs take the team.
His first game at the helm will come on Saturday.

What exactly does watching brief mean in this scenario? Will he have a live stream to an armoured personnel carrier in the car park? ;)

The first few paragraphs on the Pics site make entertaining reading - when you consider the position he actually left Moors in!
