I'd take quality over quantity every day of the week. We have retained registrations so if we had a glut of injuries we could fill these quite quickly I imagine.

Agree with this but can we have a new squad photo or at least photo shop the old one. At least 50% have "moved" on, and that does not include Luke Rodgers, who was "not available" for the photo and may or may not still be at the club. ;)

I did email Ben a couple of days ago to suggest this, as the squad page as well as the photo is now out-of-date, but there will be more changes very soon so we'll have to be patient for a day/week or two

It will be interesting to see the pen pics in the Mickleover programme tomorrow, not that I'll be buying one, they gave us one for nothing last season and that's exactly what it was worth

Nice one although I think you might have given a couple of them a temporary reprieve.

Who is the gentleman between Danny and Eve?
Also the chap at the back next to James Wren, is that Palmer?

a) Jordan Wheatley I think (gone)

b) Could be. Heck, now I really do feel like a WT old-timer, can't even recognise our own (ex-) players!

   :-D

Nothing official yet, and of course it isn't official until it's official....

Of the approx. 21-man squad which Toothy had assembled at the start of the season, I make it that these remain:

Wren
Veiga
Melbourne
Bailey
Mutton
Oji
Thorley
Lawrie
Glover

Funny, after our squad was ravaged when McD*n*ld cleared off last season we wouldn't have believed it could all happen again, albeit for different reasons.

But there is certainly more cause for optimism now than there was then....

We may be down to a basic squad of 15-16 players right now, but with a couple more astute signings like those bought in so far, it’s a far stronger squad of players who gel together and work as a unit.

Agree with Glyn - a lot more optimistic now :-D

I agree with steve-k who agrees with Glyn- are we allowed to have three consecutive positive posts?
There will be a few ups and downs of course but there are encouraging signs of progress.

I would imagine there will be another 4/5 permanent signings yet to come but this will take time as R & L will want to ensure they get the right men, hence the loan signings who will plug the gaps until then.

Sorry lads but just wondering how did I get a mention here.
Sure I'm positive now we have replaced one of the poorer managers with a much better one.
Looking forward to Tuesdays match against what will be a good side.

So how did it get onto NLD then?! - aha, we have to blame Gloucester City for letting the cat out of the bag.... see "source"
