The start of Grouse Shooting my Dad always said - he would have been 99 on that day this year! :(

Is this a game of what team we'd pick, or what team we think Neil will pick?

Either way, I haven't got a clue.

Like predicting (crows) and scores, it's all rather pointless isn't it...

Regardless of the team selection - this match will see the start of a brand new programme season - the first in the series is a cracker and I would advise all to purchase one on Saturday!

I'm not going to buy it. I don't want to know whether we won the match or not without watching it first.

Game of opinions, no problem

The time to worry is when Toothy starts picking his starting eleven based on what the fans say, as some of his recent predecessors did...

Interesting, having now found time to watch Toothy's interview here (recorded, I think, on Tuesday night)

that he says "we know ten" of Saturday's starting line-up, one starting berth plus the five on the bench to sort out

Great minds think alike almost the same as I privately shared with others earlier on in the week.
The only differences being I had Rodgers starting instead of Gloves and Tayls instead of Smith.
Seeing as we now think Rodgers is not available Gloves would me my choice with Jimmy Mutton taking the spare place on the bench.

You leave my mate Lee alone. He always puts the Pitmen first. Well, almost always...

Be good to see you later mate.

A very swift review has we are getting ready for our 50 th anniversary meal.
Should have won ,had plenty of chances but no one could finish.
Our only goal by Glover came from a definite penalty.
Goalie and defence were pretty decent, midfield lack a destroyer and we are definitely coming short up front.
Of course goal scorers don't grow on trees.

Firstly - how good it was to see Cohen Bramhall there today, taking time to chat with people - what a level headed lad he is.

Secondly what a great edition of the programme, it's going to take most of my evening to read!

The match itself well, we need a bit more time to gel as a unit. Looked generally solid at the back with a couple of wobbles, quite dangerous up front (the shot that hit the post and the efforts from a long distance were good and showed a lot of confidence), but the midfield need to put their foot on the ball a bit more and look for the killer passes.

No comment about the referees and their assistants, but a point against 14 men was a promising start - well done lads ⚽️⚽️

On balance a fair result in the end, although we hit the post, missed a sitter and probably should of had a penalty. I think both teams looked like what they are; top half mid-table sides who could put a decent run together and challenge for the play-offs.
Not yet convinced we have the goal scorer(s) who will make us a genuine play-off contender but more than happy to be wrong.
On today's performance plenty to be optimistic about though.
