Off at a slight tangent having visited their website, their pitch is going to get plenty of use next season...

The sad fact is that we will end up playing around 65 games this season and you need a big-ish squad for that workload. players get crocked, lose form or simply get knackered, but with a small squad the team picks itself and the pressure to perform maybe a little less if you know you have no competition for your shirt.
we are running out of steam and have had to play with teams pushing for the play-offs in three of those games which have seen us concede nine of those goals.
There is local pride at place on Monday and Saturday and I'm hoping we can get something from both games, but we are facing 6 games in 13 days which a squad of 13 or 14 won't cope with.

The first 20 minutes we were battered but from that point on we dominated the possession but didn't create any clear cut chances. There was a lot of effort and some decent football being played but it all seemed to break down around the 18 yard box. We didn't have the luck or the quality we needed to break them down. We didn't deserve to lose by three and the performance was nowhere near as bad as the scoreline suggests. They were better where it mattered, in both boxes, but we were at least as good in between.
There was a slightly annoying moment in the first half when the referee somehow forgot to signal for Curley to return to the play after having had treatment and he was left standing there for what must have been at least two minutes. The referee should be ashamed of himself.
I saw Dwyer for the first time and he looks a good player, and Rea also played much better than he did in the Marine match.
Witton Albion is a nice club, a decent main stand and cover on all four sides. Their museum/club shop is impressive and the bar looks good too. It was my third visit there and I'd be more than happy to go there again, although that probably won't be possible under the new setup.

Very honest as normal thanks Rob.

What a few more bob might have done for the side we will never know, especially over the next few weeks.

Thought it was going to be the weather forecast!!

Form goes out of the window for these sort of matches - all down to tactics, fitness and determination.

It might be Easter but can we dish out some cards for talking about the Rushall game on a Witton review thread please.

You could have withheld your comments until the thread was created!

And Del, can Steve K have a card for not pulling his finger out please?

And do I need a card for moaning?

Lee K - (yellowcard) .. for trying to influence a Moderator, and for moaning

PitmanKeith - (yellowcard) .. for going too early

Steve-K .. after reviewing the VAR evidence thoroughly no action required as genuine reason for lateness given!

I'm playing catch-up like Lee normally does now that I have my sound issues sorted!
