Sobering that the relief fund (a lot of money on planet 'everyday life') is less than the purchase price of some individual players. Maybe it's about time this obscenity of a house of cards came tumbling down?

I’ve every sympathy for those well run clubs that are encountering difficulties, but I’ve none whatsoever with likes of Nuneaton who have been irresponsible and landed themselves with well paid contracts to honour. You think they would have learned by now and to launch a crowd funding page in the present climate is pretty low.

I hope they don’t have the cheek to chase the government funds to pay 80% of their players wages (I assume they are classed as employees)?

A grey area I reckon ... because many could be had under the Trade Descriptions act for calling themselves footballers!
