Edited highlights from the report in the Non League Paper:

" Rob Smith and his assistant Larry Chambers took up Halesowen's management reins, but there was no respite for his struggling new team as Stratford cruised to victory."

"But with Halesowen now having scored just once in seven league games, Stratford went on to take their second half chances and win the game with ease."

"The Yeltz provided little in response in a disappointing afternoon."

"... lots of comings and goings...."

I wonder if we can have any of their cast-offs to replace those who will no doubt be going the other way, though if they're not good enough for them then they really wouldn't be inspiring arrivals....

Six-pointer!

One does recall them doing a similar rescue job in their next role after they last left
us, but they've got another big task on their hands...

Financial support on its way to Yeltz.

Let's not hear any budget complaints from Rob please!

Rob isn't happy with the lack of fight from his team at Hitchin...

https://www.halesowennews.co.uk/sport/1 ... rom-yeltz/

Yet half of the starting line-up are players he has signed in the last couple of weeks...

26/12/18 Halesowen 0-3 Stourbridge (crows 1,994)

A brief summary of each player's performance :

A "completely new dressing room thrown together" says Rob - funny, I'm sure 5-6 of them have shared them a dressing room on a number of occasions already this season:

A waste of time reading the player reviews. Everybody had a reasonable game without anyone being exceptional. obviously the author doesn't want to burn any bridges.

A couple of views from the Yeltz forum:

"The new management need to be questioned. Absolutely nothing has changed and this squad is now theirs. As you rightly said, if that was under John Hill, and we often produced performances like that under him, he'd be getting crucified by myself. I appreciate the difficulty of the task Smith and Larry inherited, and the fact patience is required, but results are what matters and the results have been abysmal."

"Park standard pitch and both teams obliged with park standard football !!! Utter garbage...so so poor from Halesowen and they weren't a lot better !! But they got the result and took home the points... how many points have now been won by the new management team ? How many goals have been scored ? How many shots at goal,, on target ? Don't think there was one today ?new players brought in are worse than those forced out, in my opinion, and have no heart, fight or desire... if they put as much effort into playing as they do whinging whining and bickering they would be ok !! Your not in the premier league just get on with it.... same old same old every week yet every side we play against encourages each other and are together as a team, again this is led from the dugout, seldom do you hear the ranting and language from opposing managers, as was so evident again today , especially at the final whistle !!! The ref ain't to blame for another shocking performance!! Get it togeather and concentrate on doing the job you were brought in to do... unless things change quickly relegation is a cert .... a good pub side would beat us at the moment..."
