I've been as gentle as I could ;) :-D

The discounts for "concessions" aren't great either, are they?!

Very poor.
I just wish they'd be up front about it and just say that they will have collection buckets at strategically appointed locations so people can decide what they wish to contribute to this worthy cause rather than fleecing people on the way in.

Here’s the preview from the opposition:

https://www.pitchero.com/clubs/nuneaton ... 65801.html

Not only are we “Hedbesford Town” in the first paragraph, we are also unbeaten in the league this season apparently!

I wish we were!

They've got snow now as they are appealing for fans to clear the pitch.

Apparently there is a 1pm inspection which means I'm not going to bother going as I was planning to leave at 12.45 because of uncertainty on the motorway. It is bone chillingly cold also so I think I'll watch footy on TV (cheers)

A decent point. The rot is stopped perhaps.

Tough run of games now over the next month, including a crucial fixture at Lowestoft

Fair play to the players out there today - baltic conditions to play in and several of them playing in unfamiliar positions, but they put a real shift in and could have taken all the points had it not been for some dithering in front of goal and iffy finishing

I certainly expected the worst upon seeing the team sheet - Lycett on the right wing, Ison in midfield, two untried debutants at the back - it felt a very thrown-together side, with no Landell or Brown in attack. I was pleasantly surprised, then, to see us ‘have a go’ in the first twenty minutes and carve out the better of the openings. Alas, it didn’t last and a period of pressure saw our ropey defence breached by Dwyer. We finished the half strongly though and Rowley’s close range header was a well-deserved equaliser

We edged the chances in what was a low quality second half, but hit the post through Master and O’Sullivan wasted two excellent opportunities on the counter. Cater was impressive when he came on but lacked that killer instinct with his final ball.

Some really hard-working displays in white today; Bailey showed some much-needed leadership, whilst Ison did well in an unfamiliar defensive midfield role. Master was his usual threat and O’Sullivan gave Liam Daly plenty to think about, but as a team overall we were workmanlike and no more. Nuneaton were of similar ilk - they had spells of possession in the game but lacked quality all over the pitch, even when Benbow came on; it had the feel of a game between two sides unlikely to be troubling the top ten anytime soon.

Well done to the Hednesford fans that braved the treacherous weather (it was f***ing freezing behind the goal in the first half!) to support the boys; the players certainly gave their all for us today.

On a final note, Rob and Larry were there today… but before the conspiracy theorists read anything into this, they both confirmed they’ve now retired from football so we can put an end to the pair ever returning once and for all.

Agree with CDS. We had the better of the chances and should have scored a couple more in the first half. Second half was a bit scrappy but we had chances on the break and didn’t make the most of them. Lots of effort so no complaints there. The only disappointing thing is that we need to be beating bottom four teams.

Oliver Basey's surname has been spelt wrong three times in the report. So has Isaiah Osbourne's.
