I’m never quite sure what to expect when I go to these type of matches because both ourselves and the opposition can turn out any kind of team from youths, players returning from injury to trialists.
Well almost from the start it became apparent we had a complete mix whereas they obviously had a team of experienced league players!
So a miss match for the first half in which we were totally outplayed.
We did improve in the second particularly when Scott and Kieran Wells appeared.
We started to get into them and for a while we dominated play and finished getting three really good goals and briefly they started to panic alas to no avail has they finished with six and we were well beaten in an entertaining encounter.
There were some good performances I was particularly impressed with new signing Hodge who is a natural left winger and Scott helped to change the flow of the game in the second half.
Probably unfair to criticise anyone has we were up against it.
Daniels and fry had a good run out they looked has if they needed it and Reid was lively when he came on.
Man of the Match. Hodge
Supporters.Just a few of us who warmed to an improved second half.
So on to Saturday and a huge game against Royston team selection will be interesting.

Villa have been a great club, are still a great club and always will be a great club.
