I was jesting about the coach, of course.... and it's 24 miles away for me Del, so if I set off walking now I'll be there in time for next Saturday...

My more local source tells me it has been raining hard and more is due until 4pm. Should soften the pitch just a tad, perhaps... does mean I won't be wearing my shorts though...

:( ;) :-D

I'm not happy, I wanted nine.

(Before the vultures attack, I am joking).

Not going to take too much from today, but all the players looked comfortable with the ball at their feet and were giving the man in possession plenty of passing options. Probably saw as many cross field passes between the two full/wing backs as the previous 20 years watching the Pitmen combined.

Keep it coming.

Although HH seemed to be less of an opposition than the last couple of pre seasons, we still needed to beat them and we did that well.

Good to see us keeping going for the 90 minutes, clearly plenty of positive team spirit - fully agree with Dobba, the quality of some of those cross field balls was exceptional - so refreshing.

The lads Gaz has bought the in looked sharp and willing to play for the badge - good to see after a couple of the ‘has-beens’ we had last season.

A good victory against a lower rate team, but a good start - keep up the effort lads, we are right with you, well done!
