The last time we played these in a league games was in 1978 if i remember, we went on to win the league. I remember playing at their place 3 nil up and we drew 3-3, i was only 18, where have the years gone :o

I hadn't even been born in 1978....

I have been to Lye Meadow once though, we played them in a Birmingham Senior Cup match some years ago where we won 1-0 with a last minute goal from Carl Palmer.

I’ve beento both home games , but missed both away games. Today had many similarities to the Lowestoft game. We spent 45 minutes largely chasing shadows and were fortunate to have the woodwork on our side as well as witnessing some sloppy final passes from the opposition.
The difference was that when the chances came we were clinical in putting them away. Elliot showed great poise to finish for the first and Danny timed his leap to perfection to finish the game as a contest. The highlight was the third with the impressive Elliot delivering a corner with a bit of pace for Morris to rush in and bullet a header into the corner of the net.
Tamworth represent a real test on Monday, but we have to be pleased with this start as we are scoring a few goals , competing in midfield (Gatter) was a bit of an unsung hero in breaking play up and we look better at the back.
Bailey was superb and won every tackle that he went in for. Wells showed great work rate again and Abadaki posed a real threat and provided a good outlet for us. Plenty of other good performances.
The officials weren’t great. They missed loads of fouls, one linesmen gave some that weren’t and the other refused to give any ( including a blatant penalty at the end).
Well done lads!

Thanks TMVP. I’m not too clear on the logic of not posting 10 minutes of highlights. I daresay our opponents have us scouted, and Tamworth will have seen how we scored our goals yesterday. Added to this , highlights from our other 3 games are readily available.
I thought Elliot spoke well and he had a good game.
