Incompetent management will get us relegated
I was totally shocked at some of our fans today saying we played well
let's have a recap
Warrington away - played well no points
Marine at home - played well mo points
It's time to wake up and smell the coffee
The fat assistant manager pushing fans because he couldn't take the criticism he deserved sums it up really

Changing managers every 5 minutes definitely will get us relegated.

We've got more of a chance of staying up sticking with what we've got now, it's too late for anything or anyone else now to have an effect.

I wouldn't say we played well but we had more than enough chances to win the game but we missed them all. Wells missed three of them but his work rate is fantastic and wins MOTM from me.

Our displays are probably the best we’ve seen for a year and we are creating plenty of chances. The team seems more coherent and clearly the motivation to do well is there. What you can’t legislate for are the numerous missed chances ( Wells works incredibly hard but he doesn’t strike me as a natural finisher) and the opposition keeper having a very fine day.
We had two big problems today. The first being the midfield where we lacked control. The bald bloke who scored their goal ( Steve Irwin) ran the game and our lads were second to quite a lot of things. We lacked real width and this meant service to our front two wasn’t what it could’ve been. The second issue was our tactics in the last 15 minutes where we played with urgency bordering on panic. This resulted in long ball after long ball and in the absence of a target man we didn’t lay a glove on Marine (as I predicted would be the case at the time).
It’s all to play for still but having played the two form teams in the league we now have to get something at Buxton and then beat Grantham otherwise we will struggle to survive.
Finally, the substitutions. Why Archer didn’t come on is beyond me, his pace gives us a different dimension so I assume he isn’t in favour. Why Sangha came on is also a mystery. I think he touched the ball twice and looked like a kid who had gate crashed an adult’s game.
Good performances are fine but now we need ugly goals and an ugly win!

Well l am disappointed today, but not with any of our players they gave it all today , it's just a few of our fans all they want to do is to slate the team importicular keiron wells he got some stick yet he gives you everything kerion just keep doing the things you did today the goals will come on another day we could of been 3 up but when your lucks out , to me they were lucky to day, as for the manager he is doing his best the football is a lot better now all we need is a win we must get behind him and the team if people just want to come and knock them why bother wasting your money please say away if you have not got anything nice to say about the players , then do not waste your money say away i would like to thank all our players to day it was a good team performance i know you are doing your best thanks lads always a pitman

In a team playing ok but struggling to get results how can Archer and Gatter not get a game, it's totally beyond me.

I’ve no problem with Gatter being on the bench, The two centre halves we have are doing a good job. It was clear after about 65 minutes that we needed to change things up front. Benjamin is a clever player but things weren’t happening for him and we needed some pace to stretch Marine. I’m not sure what Sangha was expected to offer us. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a sub have such a limited impact.

Thanks Dan once again.

Such a shame the team on the pitch cannot match the quality of effort put in off the pitch by the Video Team and the Programme Team!

Being allocated the wrong league in the close season?

Was that not Morans' last game yesterday?

Surprised no-one's mentioned the crap ref yet. One-eyed beyond belief and needing his lino to flag for a foul under his nose whilst missing blatant fouls and handballs.

Not good enough....

Oh, and the woodwork was biased as well...

:x  ;)

Without yet having had time to watch the highlights, this was the one which should have got us a point...

Quote:
Wells has his header palmed over from a Melbourne cross .. should have scored

Alex did very well to check, compose himself and put a decent cross in when on another day he might have crossed first time and seen it sail into the crowd... but Wells headed too close to the keeper when he could have picked his spot.

Hey ho... we go again...
