Good to see the injuries clearing up, apart from Ben of course.

Erm, hello, we weren't relegated from the Vanarama National League North last season.

Don't believe everything you read on the internet...

 :?

Arrived at Lutterworth after Decent run down the M6.
The ground was much has expected just a glorified parks pitch wth railings all the way round and a couple of very small pokey stands.
The pitch appeared to be flat, not much of a slope and well grassed.
The new player from Bangor I think appeared wearing the number ten,Abadaki was sub and Hurst made his first appearance of the season replacing Curly at full back.
It soon became apparent that under the grass the surface was rock hard and uneven so ball control was at a premium.
They set out their stall right from the start which was sit deep defend in depth and hit us on the break.
We coped with the tactic quite well tho has with last week struggled to break them down, the nearest first half effort came from a Scott shot which hit the post.
One or two started to remark at half time was this to be another Mansfield.
After a similar early part of the second half Curly and Abadaki came on and immediately we scored when a Curly cross was hit home by Wells after a goalmouth scramble.
From this point we started to look more dangerous and two more goal both scored by Wells for his hat trick followed.
So in the end a comfortable win against a determined Lutterworth team who gave us plenty to think about with their counter attacking style.
The game was marred after the final whistle when all the players and officials were congregating in the middle and Hurst appeared to be punched to the ground.
A huge fracas then broke out which took several minutes to exhaust itself.
A Lutterworth official in a white shirt appeared to be a chief contributor.
Afterwards the Hednesford players could be heard singing their heads off in the changing room.
Dans highlights should be interesting!
Man of the Match Wells
Officials Acceptable
Supporters brilliant has usual
So the moneys banked and we look forward to favourable draw on Monday.

We went to Lutterworth today knowing that we had never been there before and will probably never go there again so it was imperative to go to add another ground to the list.
I was delighted to find out last week that just two miles away was Lutterworth Athletic's ground so we set off in good time to ensure we visited there first. Although they are a league below Lutterworth Town, Athletic's ground was nice and tidy with plenty of parking and they were preparing for their home game against Holwell Sports.
A quick photo there and off we went to Town where we managed to park in the very narrow streets. It soon became clear that this ground didn't look as nice as Athletic's. A few pints of Budweisers were had throughout the game and it was nice to watch a game with a pint in my hand. We looked for some food and all we found was a bloke with some burgers being kept warm but nice enough they were. I can't remember the last time I went to a game and didn't get a programme but unfortunately they had sold out by the time we arrived at approximately 14:40.
It may sound like I'm making excuses (and I am) but the pitch was bobbly and they were hardworking. We didn't really get to grips with the conditions although we still could have been a couple of goals up by half time.
As the second half went on I was wondering whether we were going to have to play again on Tuesday but once we scored there was no danger of that apart from a few minutes after our first goal when their striker rounded Platt but Griffiths cleared off the line.
We went on to score two more goals for a flattering 3-0 win and it was good for Kieran to score all of them as he always works so hard for the team. I guess it was the kind of game where we couldn't really win even if we won - if we lost or drew the game we'd get criticised but if we won it was only what everyone would have expected anyway.
The referee was a muppet, all the 50/50s went to them as usual and he doesn't know what handball is but we've come to expect muppetry for some time now from officials.
I don't know what happened at the final whistle but there was a right royal rumble going on afterwards until it all got calmed down. My daughter enjoyed herself again and had some high fives from most of the players at full time. All in all a good day, another ground ticked off and in the hat we go, just three more wins and we'll be joining Walsall in the hat for the first round.

If anyone managed to get a programme I'll be pleased to take it off your hands after you've read it if you normally throw them away :-)

Well after watching Kieran playing on the left wing the last few games his true position came to light yesterday , he's a centre forward and should be wearing the no 9 shirt, I Don't know if Danny is carrying a knock but he hasn't been himself lately , it was frustrating to watch until the crucial substitution made us come alight
I would push Hurst in the middle next week and start Curley and Abadaki on the right and obviously Kieran centre forward, bring on the next round

Undoubtedly a flattering scoreline, that doesn’t tell the whole story of a mainly plodding display from us as we struggled to break down an aggressive but limited home side for the best part of seventy minutes. There were four or five players in yellow whose performances varied from ‘distinctly average’ to ‘poor’, with the midfield balance suffering due to the amount of changes made in recent games. We play that ponderously next week, Kings Langley will punish us as Lutterworth were wasteful on the counter. I was impressed with Fry’s first touch and a willingness to make himself available – a decent debut from him. Excellent late cameos from that man Abadaki and Curley and kudos to Kieran for his late hat-trick. Lots to work on in training and would expect some departures this week as the squad is bloated both in defence and midfield

I’m happy to be corrected by someone as my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, but was Gresley gaffer Gavin Hurren sitting on our bench in a Hednesford tracksuit?

From my vantage point here in Devon ... Yes! ;) .. and he is no longer the Gresley Town manager https://www.gresleyfc.com/news/article/4357
